Should I book at the Hotel Fort Garry?

We strongly recommend you book at Hotel Fort Garry – not only do you not need to drive, but it’s also a safe and reputable hotel in downtown Winnipeg.

Can I take photos during the wedding reception?

We ask that no phones be used during the ceremony – we do not want phones in our professional photos, and we want YOU present during the ceremony. 

We will come take photos with you during the reception!

Can I bring my children?

Yes! Weddings are for the whole family and Jaden & Carolyn want to celebrate with all ages!

Please make sure you list them and their food choices on the RSVP card.

How are you feeling?

The bride and groom and many of their friends work in healthcare – we ask that if you are sick or feeling symptoms, you celebrate from afar. We will not only understand, but be very grateful for you thinking of everyone’s health.

What is happening between the ceremony and the reception?

While the wedding party does photos, there is free time for you to rest and relax or to go explore downtown Winnipeg (all of the below are within 5 minutes of the Church and Hotel).

• Head to Dalnavert Museum to see the fully furnished 1895 home of Sir John A. MacDonald’s son, Hugh. 
• Visit the Forks National Historic Site to shop, drink, and take a historical tour of the birthplace of Winnipeg, the Museum of Human Rights, and the Children’s Museum.
• Visit the Winnipeg Art Gallery.
• Pop over to the Manitoba Museum to look at our various collections – great for the whole family!
